Rainer Maria Rilke: “Again and Again”

Again and Again

Again and again, whether we know the landscape of love
and the little graveyard there with its sorrowful names,
and the monstrous, mute chasm into which others
have fallen: again and again, you and I go out together
to walk beneath the old trees, to lie down again
there among the flowers, there against the sky.

Rainer Maria Rilke
